Best Time to Visit the Amazon
When you should travel to the Amazon will depend on your destination as well as what you’re interested in doing.
The Amazon has a varied climate with different weather patterns (lots of rain vs. less rain), depending upon where you are traveling and how you’re going about your travel. Many parts of the Amazon can be visited at any time of year, but will have unique weather conditions (primarily dictated by rainfall) at various times of the year.
The impact of high and low water seasons also vary based on mode of travel (boat vs. on foot). It will not rain during the summer months (January – March), however, rain showers do occur most days depending on where you are traveling.
No matter whether you want to see wildlife, take a river cruise, hike through the jungles or see beautiful scenery, there will be a time to visit some area of the Amazon. The only thing that will determine the best time to visit is what type of journey you want to experience.
