On arrival in Kuala Lumpur, you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, settling in or exploring the capital. In the evening, you might like to visit the iconic Petronas Towers for panoramic city views.

Today, enjoy a privately guided tour of Kuala Lumpur. Discover its unique blend of modern and colonial architecture while learning about the city’s rich cultural heritage and diverse communities.

Take an early flight to Sandakan. On arrival, you’ll be transferred to the Kinabatangan River for a two-night stay at a remote jungle lodge. After lunch, enjoy your first river safari—keep your eyes out for proboscis monkeys, pygmy elephants, orangutans, and vibrant birdlife.

Begin the day with an early morning cruise and a visit to a nearby oxbow lake. After breakfast, enjoy downtime or wildlife spotting around the lodge’s boardwalks and bird towers. In the afternoon, take another river safari before a final dinner at the lodge.

After breakfast, return to Sandakan and transfer to Sepilok Nature Resort. In the afternoon, visit the renowned Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre and the Sun Bear Sanctuary. Enjoy your evening at leisure.

Fly to Kota Kinabalu and meet your climbing package representative. You’ll be transferred to Kinabalu National Park for an afternoon exploring the trails and an overnight stay near the park.

Start your ascent of Mount Kinabalu through lush rainforest. As you gain altitude, the vegetation and climate shift dramatically. Reach Laban Rata in the afternoon and rest up for tomorrow’s summit push.

Begin your final ascent before dawn and reach the summit for sunrise. Then descend back to park headquarters—a rewarding but strenuous trek. Afterwards, transfer to the luxurious Shangri-La Rasa Ria beach resort for well-deserved rest.

Spend the day unwinding. Enjoy the private beach, spa, and scenic surroundings. Treat yourself to a massage or simply relax by the pool.

Today is free for you to explore. Head into town, book a local excursion, or join the resort’s sunrise viewpoint experience for breathtaking views.
